Such a type of adapter is satisfactory and allows in particular to achieve a simple way of mounting a wiper blade on the free end shaped U-shaped hook of the wiper arm. In known manner, the main part of the body of the wiper arm and its end portion shaped U-shaped hook are made in the form of a folded metal bar of rectangular section whose transverse width substantially corresponds to the distance separating the opposite internal faces vis-à-vis the parallel wings of the adapter. However, such an adapter design does not allow, using the same adapter, to mount a wiper blade on wiper arms of different dimensions and especially when the longitudinal dimensions of the portion U-shaped end end varies from one wiper arm to the other. In order to adapt in particular to at least three ranges of different dimensions of the hook-shaped end of a wiper arm, the document US-A1-2014 / 0352097 proposes a design of an adapter comprising a body intended to be received in a concave bottom of the end hook and a locking leg which extends longitudinally from the front body and which carries a series of three protruding locking lugs each of which is intended to be received in a light locking the end hook of the wiper arm, depending on the dimensions of the end hook. Such a design has the particular disadvantage of increasing the overall height of the adapter resulting, depending on the dimensions of the end hook, or a part of the large locking lug located outside the hook, or to an assembly with a significant vertical compression of the adapter inside the hook. The invention aims to propose an adapter, in particular of reduced dimensions, which allows the assembly of a wiper blade on at least two wiper arms whose dimensions of the free end portion in the form of U-shaped hook are different. BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The invention provides an adapter for connecting a wiper blade to a U-shaped front end of a wiper arm, comprising: - a body front of convex external profile, intended to be received in a concave front end of the end hook; and at least one branch which extends longitudinally rearwardly from the front body and which carries a single protruding locking lug intended to be received in a locking hole of the end hook of the wiper arm , characterized in that the adapter comprises at least two transverse notches longitudinal positioning of the adapter, offset longitudinally relative to each other, one or the other is intended to cooperate with a rear transverse edge an end hook depending on the dimensions of the end hook. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES In the remainder of the description, elements having identical structure or similar functions will be designated by the same references. In the remainder of the description, longitudinal, vertical and transverse orientations indicated by the "L, V, T" trihedron of the figures will be adopted in a nonlimiting manner and without reference to earth gravity. We also define a horizontal plane that extends longitudinally and transversely. In Figure 1, there is shown a portion of a wiper arm 10, also called drive arm, which is associated with an adapter 12 for the mechanical connection of the wiper arm 10, here to a main yoke 14 for supporting a wiper blade (not shown) of a windscreen wiper. The longitudinal front portion of the wiper arm 10 shown in particular in Figures 1 and 2 extends the main body 16 of the wiper arm 10 and is shaped as a U-shaped hook 18. The U-shaped free hook-shaped end portion 18 consists of a horizontal upper strand 20, a horizontal lower strand 22, each of which is delimited by a flat horizontal face 24, 26 respectively. The two parallel horizontal strands 20 and 22 are connected to each other by a curved longitudinal end-of-curvature-shaped end of a semi-cylindrical arc which internally delimits a concave semi-cylindrical bottom 28. The lower section 22 is delimited longitudinally towards the rear by a transverse rear end vertical face 30. In known manner, in the vicinity of the rear end face 30, the lower strand 22 comprises a locking slot 34 which is here a vertical opening hole which is delimited longitudinally by a front end edge 36 and by an edge d rear end 38 each of which is shaped with a concave rounded profile. In known manner, the windscreen wiper arm 10 and in particular its U-shaped hook-shaped front end portion 18 is made in the form of a metal bar with a rectangular cross section (here with rounded corners) which is cut and folded, and which is delimited transversely by two external vertical lateral faces 32. As can be seen in particular in Figures 1 and 2, the adapter 12 is here a one-piece plastic molded part which has two opposite vertical and longitudinal side wings 40 which, in the vicinity of their free ends before rounded profile convex 42, are interconnected by a front body 44 of generally convex cylindrical shape which extends transversely between portions vis-à-vis opposite internal faces 46 of the lateral wings 40. The front body 44 extends longitudinally rearwards by two substantially horizontal longitudinal branches, an upper branch 48 and a lower branch 50 form a V. Like the front body 44, the two upper and lower limbs 48 extend transversely between portions opposite the opposite inner lateral faces 46 of the lateral wings 40. The front body 44 is hollowed out internally and delimits a concave circular cylindrical inner housing 52, of geometric axis A, which is adapted to receive rotatably a hinge rod 74 of profile and of complementary dimension belonging here to the stirrup of articulation 14. The front body 44 and the branches 48 and 50 here comprise two external ribs 54 in relief of longitudinal general orientation and which are parallel. The locking pin 62 is delimited longitudinally towards the rear by a transverse face of abutment 64 convex rounded profile which is oriented longitudinally rearwardly and which is adapted to cooperate with the rear end edge 38 of the locking lumen 34. On its convex outer surface, the front body 44 comprises a resilient leaf spring 59 which is adapted to cooperate with a portion vis-à-vis the concave bottom 28 of the curved strand 27 of the hook-shaped end portion 18 U-shaped wiper arm 10. In the mounted position of the adapter 12 inside the U-shaped hook-shaped end portion 18, the spring plate 59 is mounted longitudinally compressed so as to exert longitudinally rearwards, a force tending to the rear transverse abutment face 64 of the locking pin 62 against the rear edge 38 of the locking slot 34. The main yoke 14, shown by way of non-limiting example in FIG. 1, is here a part by example cut and folded sheet whose central portion is essentially constituted by two vertical and longitudinal parallel cheeks 70 each of which is delimited by an inner vertical face 72 between which extends transversely a hinge pin 74 which is adapted to received in the housing 52 of the front body 44 of the adapter 12. In known manner, the assembly is carried out here by first placing the adapter 12 on the hinge pin 74 by fitting the latter longitudinally from rear to front into the housing 52, then coming into place. places the U-shaped hook end portion 18 of the wiper arm 10 in which the adapter 12 is longitudinally nested from back to front until the locking pin 62 penetrates and fits into the locking lumen 34. In this design according to the state of the art, with the exception of the locking pin and the leaf spring, the adapter has a double general symmetry of design, on the one hand with respect to a longitudinal vertical plane median and, on the other hand, with respect to a median horizontal longitudinal plane. We will now describe the first embodiment of an adapter according to the invention as illustrated in particular in Figures 4A to 4C with reference and by comparison with what has been described with respect to an adapter 12 according to the state of the art such as as shown in Figure 1. In the description of the embodiments according to the invention, the general design of the wiper arm 10 with its end portion in the form of a U-shaped hook is identical to that described above with reference to the state of the art. . The design of the adapter 12 according to the invention is characterized by the modifications made to the rear end portion of the lower leg 50 - which carries the locking pin 62 - which is in the form of a deformable tab elastically 80 longitudinal positioning and catching games allowing, by means of the same adapter 12, the connection here of three wiper arms 10 whose U-shaped front end portion 18 is of dimensions different, especially with regard to the longitudinal dimensions D1, D2 and D3. For this purpose, the lower branch 50 extends longitudinally rearwardly from its rear end edge 49 by a tab 80 which is shaped as an elastically deformable beam which can pivot about an axis of transverse orientation B which is located longitudinally substantially to the right of the edge 49. The lower face 82 of the locating tab 80 has a stepped three-step profile which is offset longitudinally rearwardly with respect to each other and vertically downward from the front to the rear. These three steps form here a group which is offset longitudinally rearwardly with respect to the locking pin 62. Each of the three steps 84A, 84B, 84C is delimited longitudinally forwards by a vertical transverse face 86A, 86B, 86C which constitutes a notch, oriented towards the front, capable of cooperating with a portion opposite the the rear end transverse face 30 of the lower strand 22 of the U-shaped hook-shaped end portion 18 of the wiper blade 10. As can be seen in FIGS. 4A to 4C, as a function of the longitudinal dimensions of the U-shaped hook-shaped end portion of the wiper arm 10, it is either the notch 84A which cooperates with the face transverse end 30 (Figure 4A), the notch 86B (Figure 4B) or the notch 86C (Figure 4C). In each of these three cases, the rear end section of the lower strand 22 which extends between the rear end edge 38 of the locking slot 34 and the rear end transverse face 30 is received longitudinally without clearance between the convex rear end edge 64 of the locking lug 62 and the associated catch 86A, 86B, or 86C of the positioning tab 80.
